The Winsor Woods
Distance: Perimeter loop < 1 mi.
Difficulty: Moderate except steep along north border.
Special Features: Several trails crossing within outer loop, on moderately sloped wooded hill rising to east side.
Location: Take Rte 179 North to Rte 309 (West Simsbury Road). Trailhead (TH) is about 200 yards up Rte 309. Parking is not adviseable at the trailhead because of the ditch along side of the road and the traffic coming westward over the rise. Consider parking (P) at the Swan Preserve on Case Street or down behind the North Canton fire station on Rte 179 (park away from the building so as not to interfere with operations).
