The President's Message

February 19, 2012

President's Message: 

The Moonlight Hike was a total success. Thanks to our hosts, Elenor and Larry Smith, over 200 people enjoyed a beautiful night, hiking on a portion of the Breezy Hill Trail and then eating chili, having hot chocolate or an adult drink in the Smith's riding barn. The absence of snow caused the hike to be shortened as wet sand donated by Larry Smith was used to hold the luminaires in place in lieu of snow. Thanks to Rhonda DeWeese and Mary Ellen Mullins for helping to organize the event, Mary Dean, Gretchen Sonju and Jan Tanner for running the event the night of the hike and Sarah Faulkner for parking cars on Breezy Hill.  And most of all THANKS to every one that joined in the fun.

 

 

Important dates for your CLCT calendar:

Annual dinner on Tuesday March 20, 2012. Steve Grant will be our featured speaker. Reservation cards have been mailed. Please respond by March 6, 2012.

40th Anniversary GALA celebration on Saturday September 29, 2012. 

The CLCT signage project funded by a grant from the Farmington River Coordinating Council is near completion. The majority of the kiosks, property signs and trail signs have been installed and GPS data has been collected for most of the trails to generate trail maps.
