The Mission of the Canton Land Conservation Trust is to acquire, preserve, and protect land of scenic, natural or historic value within the Town of Canton; to maintain this land and its plant and animal life using the best conservation, wildlife habitat, and forestry practices available; and to promote public awareness, understanding, and enjoyment of the land.

Moon Light Hike: Saturday, February 4th, after 6:00 p.m.

The annual Moon Light Hike will be held in the Breezy Hill Preserve and include festivities in the horse barn at the neighboring farm of Larry and Elenor Smith.  The trail through the preserve and on to the Smith's horse barn will be lined with luminaries.  Begin after 6 p.m. at the trailhead of the Breezy Hill Farm trail.  Please park only on the west side of Breezy Hill Road.

We intend to post here any postponement or cancellation notice for this event prior to noon on February 4th.

CLCT's Annual Dinner: Tuesday, March 20th

The Annual Dinner will be held at La Trattoria Restaurant and is open to all who register in advance.  Registration information will be provided in early March.  The dinner speaker will be Steve Grant, a freelance writer and former columnist for the Hartford Courant.
